Edge-wear of scuffs, bumps, chips and fraying at the head and tail of the spine, along the board edges, and at the board corners. Gilt text block edges and titles, and a marker ribbon. There's a three inch crack along the rear joint at the head of the board, but nothing is detaching. There's a previous owner's old presentation inscription on the front endpaper. A few pages have some soiling, including the red endpapers. The binding is still holding firm, although a little creaky along the front and rear interior hinges.
