Description
"Recueil de Pieces Choisies Sur les Conquêtes & la Convalescence du Roy" was written anonymously by Voltaire and published in 1745 (this is the first edition) in Paris by David l'aine. All text is in French. Bound in full leather, it measures 4.5"x7.25" with pagination: [5], 174 pp. It examines military and political events during the early reign of Louis XV, who became king in 1715. In good condition with many spots of loss to the leather. The binding appears to have been professionally repaired. There are marks and stains to the 4th flyleaf and title page, a small mark to the last flyleaf.
