Published by Doubleday, Page, & Company 1923-25. Some volumes include illustrations. I purchased this set in Greensboro, NC where William Sydney Porter (O. Henry) grew up. The previous owner, Ralph Hodgkin (see photos of library stamp), was a professional baseball player in the major leagues notably playing for the Chicago White Sox during the 1940’s. Measurements: each volume 7-1/8” x 4-3/4” Condition: The leather is still very pliable on all books. 10 volumes are good, with spine wear, very clean inside. 3 volumes with worn/chipped spines, one with the cover broken off, all clean inside. Note that all volumes are stamped on title page “Library of Ralph Hodgkin”. Please see photos for details, contact for any additional details or photos. Bookends not included.
