Here is a WONDERFUL OLD RED LEATHER BOUND VOLUME OF THE 1929 HARVARD UNIVERSITY FOOTBALL TEAM PROGRAMS. Included in the Volume are 7 VARSITY PROGRAMS WITH COVERS (only missing the Nov. 9 program against Michigan which was never bound into book) AND TWO SCARCE FRESHMAN PROGRAMS (the opening Sept. 19 Vol.4, Number 1 issue & the Nov. 9 Dartmouth-Harvard Freshman Game Program Vol.4, Number 7). All pages and covers of programs appear to be present. The handsomely-bound volume measures 12" x 9". Has the pictorial bookplate of WILLIAM POTTER LAGE (Harvard class of 1930) inside front cover. William Lage was the Manager of the 1929 Varsity Football Team (see photo of his article in book). Condition: All pages and program covers are in beautiful clean-looking condition with no creases and bright colors. The only drawback is that at least some of the program's edges have been trimmed to fit the volume affecting the covers the most (please view all photos of all the program covers). The custom crimson red leather binding with 4 raised bands on spine with gilt title and year. Some wear to edges and corners of leather but not too bad. The worst flaw being a tear spot to tear at front spine edge. Binding and text still attached well together with no cracking to covers. A scarce piece of Harvard football history.
