The actual condition surpassed my expectations from the description--it was like-new condition. Also, the seller was very responsive and sent the book immediately. It happened to arrive on a snowy wet day and I was at work when it was delivered. So, I was really pleased that the book was well-packaged and waterproofed. I had not reason to worry about it. Finally, the price was much better than the same item from other sellers. I'll be checking out what else this seller might have available.
