8" Godzilla Built Model Nicely Built Plastic Kit by Toho Co. Ltd. RARE! - Vintage 1995 This is a nicely built and painted model of Godzilla, a prehistoric reptile monster awakened and mutated by atomic radiation. Although usually protrayed as being charcoal gray or black, Godzilla has been represented in some Japanese media as green. This figure was beautifully assembled and hand painted by a talented modeler over 25 years ago. (Note the detail in fur shading... not just a solid mat of color.) I purchased it through a comic book store that had some fabulous models for sale. The model has been displayed on an open shelf and collected dust that you could carefully wash off. It has never been handled with bare hands, as I'm always afraid the natural oils in our skin could mar the painted finish. This is a free-standing statue with no base or stand. Measures: 8" tall x 14" x 4¾" wide. Bottom of the foot is embossed with Toho Co. Ltd. Condition is excellent! RARE hard-to-find model. From SMOKE-FREE home. godzilla
