Bound in deep hunter green leather, the book has hunter green moire silk end leaves, satin book marker, acid-free paper, Symth-sewn binding, hubbed spine, gold gilding on three edges---in near FINE condition---except for 'minor rub' on spine. Sophocles, who lived from 496 – 406 BC, was a tragedian of classical Athens. His tragedies are more human, less heroic than those of Aeschylus. HIs first victory as a tragic poet was in 468 B.C. when he won the prize against Aeschylus. This volume includes: 'Oedipus the King," "Oedipus at Colonus," "Antigone," "Ajax," "Electra," "The Women of Trachis," and "Philoctetes." 484 pages. I offer Combined shipping.
