Bound in hunter green leather, the book has navy blue moire silk end leaves, satin book marker, hubbed spine, acid-free paper, Symth-sewn binding, gold gilding on three edges---in near FINE condition---except for minor fading on edges of moire silk. Gustave Flaubert, who lived from 1821-1880, was a French novelist who created a sensation with the publication of "Madame Bovary," a realistic picture of French provincial, bourgeois life; but having a heroine who had sex outside of marriage created a sensation and led to a celebrated obscenity trial. "Three Tales" include: "A Simple Heart," "The Legend of St. Julian the Hospitaller," and "Herodias."199 pages. I offer combined shipping.
