Franklin Library leather edition of Daniel Defoe's "The Adventures of Robinson Crusoe," a Limited edition, Illustrated with Wood Engravings by Walter Paget, one of the 100 GREATEST BOOKS OF ALL TIME series, published in 1977. Bound in camel tan leather, the book has brown moire silk end leaves, acid-free paper, Symth-sewn binding, hubbed spine, a satin book marker, gold gilding on three edges---in near FINE condition. Daniel Defoe, who lived from 1660---1731, was born in London, the son of a butcher. "Robinson Crusoe" is the 1704 story of ALEXANDER SELKIRK, who had run away to sea and joined a privateering expedition under Capt. William Dampier. Selkirk was put ashore on the uninhabited island of Juan Fernandez. He was rescued in 1709. Defoe embellished the story, giving minute detail of the methods by which, with the help of a few stores and utensils saved from the wreck and the exercise of infinite ingenuity, Crusoe built himself a house, domesticated goats, and made himself a boat. After many years, Crusoe rescued the poor savage, FRIDAY, from death. Ultimately, Crusoe and Friday were discovered by an English ship. 375 pages. I offer Combined shipping.

Quite the surprised, at first I thought I ordered something from a pet shop because of the box turns out to be my order xD. My books were well packaged no noticeable box damage internally and externally. They were as described in the listing and shipped promptly in a 2 weeks window. Would recommend seller.
