Alexandr Pushkin, who lived from 1799-1837, was born in the MOSCOW, descended from nobility on both sides, a shy yet rebellious "ugly duckling" of a boy. His literary education began early. When he was twelve years old, he entered the Lyceum of Tsarskoe Selo, a prestigious school established by Alexander I. The "Decemberists of 1825, feared that Pushkin was too frivolous and exiled him to Siberia where he remained for six years. He later spent time in Kishinev, then in Odessa, and finally in his family village of Mikhilovskoe. Ultimately, Pushkin lived in Moscow where he married the beautiful Natalya Goncharova who was thirteen years younger, a flirt who loved to show off in public.
