Camus won a scholarship to the lycee and entered the University of Algiers in 1932 and obtained an advanced degree in 1936 in philosophy. In May 1940, he landed in PARIS just before the German occupation. Camus was awarded the NOBEL PRIZE in 1956, but died in a car crash in 1960.
