Description
Franklin Library's "100 Greatest Books of All Time" was an early printing of fine leather bound and 24k gold coated books. These books were printed between 1974 and 1982 and can be easily considered vintage being over 40 years old. This collection includes 13 of these books, including a couple more sought-after editions in the series such as War and Peace and Swann's Way. This lot also includes two books from the Franklin Library series of "The 100 Greatest Writers of All Time," Candide by Voltaire and Guy de Maupassant's Stories. I bought this collection a couple of years ago and have been sitting on them ever since, nearly all of them have never been opened, if not all. I've taken great care and have hardly touched them since my purchase. Three of these books have light wear. War and Peace has a little bit of fading on the top pages, Rousseau's Political Writings has slight wear on pages along all edges and is likely the weakest of the bunch, and Madame Bovary has a few hardly noticeable indents on pages. All of these damages can be seen in the photos above. They are beautiful books in excellent condition and I have a hard time seeing them go. I just don't have a use for them myself anymore other than to look pretty on my shelves. Will ship out same day or day after, please dm for questions and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you, Liam
