Weinert, a Limited edition, one of the 100 GREATEST BOOKS EVER WRITTEN series, published in 1981. Bound in scarlet red leather, the book has moire silk end leaves, satin book marker, hubbed spine, gold gilding on three edges----in near FINE condition. Jakob Grimm lived from 1785---1863 and his brother, Wilhelm Grimm lived from 1786-1859. They were professors and students of old German literature. The brothers spent thirteen years accumulating the folk tales from various sources. A few of the famous stories include: "The Frog Prince," "Faithful John," "The Six Swans," "The Raven," "The Golden Goose," "Cinderella," "Cat and Mouse in Partnership," "The Devil's Three Gold Hairs," "Rumpelstiltskin," "Hans in Luck," "Tom Thumb," "The Sleeping Beauty," "The Cat and the Mouse in Partnership," "The Death of the Little Hen," "Clever Elsie," "The Wolf and the Fox," "The Ungrateful Son," "The Willow Wren," "Little Red Riding Hood," "Hansel and Gretel," "Snow-White and the Seven Dwarfs," "The Poor Man and the Rich Man," and others. 391 pages.
