Joseph Mallord William Turner RA (April 1775 – December 1851), known in his time as William Turner, was an English Romantic painter, printmaker and watercolorist. He is known for his expressive coloring, imaginative landscapes and turbulent, often violent marine paintings. He left behind more than 550 oil paintings, 2,000 watercolors, and 30,000 works on paper. He was championed by the leading English art critic John Ruskin from 1840, and is today regarded as having elevated landscape painting to an eminence rivalling history painting. I am beyond thrilled to have this rare first edition copy of "The Girl Who Ran for President"! I had never heard of Belva Lockwood, neither has anyone else I know. I loved learning about her story and received this book quickly which was a bonus. It was packaged well which I appreciated - the seller put in the extra effort to assure I received the book as described. The price was on point for the item and I'm so happy to add it to my bookcase.

Book arrived as described - very pleased indeed with it. Had excellent communication with Ryan (the seller) over a difficulty with the postal system in the US - all was resolved satisfactorily.
