Henri-Robert-Marcel Duchamp (July 1887 – October 1968) was a French painter, sculptor, chess player, and writer whose work is associated with Cubism, Dada, and conceptual art. He is commonly regarded, along with Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse, as one of the three artists who helped to define the revolutionary developments in the plastic arts in the opening decades of the 20th century, responsible for significant developments in painting and sculpture. He has had an immense impact on 20th- and 21st-century art, and a seminal influence on the development of conceptual art. By the time of World War I, he had rejected the work of many of his fellow artists (such as Henri Matisse) as "retinal", intended only to please the eye. Instead, he wanted to use art to serve the mind. As a fellow book collector, I know how frustrating it can be when items aren’t accurately described or poorly packaged for shipping. I am beyond thrilled to have this rare first edition copy of "The Girl Who Ran for President"! I had never heard of Belva Lockwood, neither has anyone else I know. I loved learning about her story and received this book quickly which was a bonus. It was packaged well which I appreciated - the seller put in the extra effort to assure I received the book as described. The price was on point for the item and I'm so happy to add it to my bookcase.

Exceptional service, fairly priced specialty products, flexible with delivery timing. Everything very well packed and delivery on time. Went out of way to accommodate delivery dates given our travel. Great EBay experience. Highly recommended. Excellent communications.

There was a post office error with my order; the seller was on top of it and kept me updated. He was friendly and the book was packed with care and is as-described. I couldn’t be happier.
