Truly quite lovely. Light wear to extremities. Pink and purple swirled end papers remain bright and clean. Light toning to edges of front fly leaf. Jefford F. Oller 1925 signed on second fly leaf. Light toning to textblock. A few notations in Oller’s hand, mostly underlining and his review on the last leaf. Binding tight and intact. Top edge gilt. Please see photos. Owned previously by Jefford F. Oller of Waynesboro, PA. Oller was a financier, industrialist, and press book collector. Oller’s collection of books were all beautifully rebound in Deco style bindings. Quite impressive. William Ellery Leonard (1876-1944) was an American poet, playwright, translator and literary scholar. Over his career, Leonard wrote numerous volumes of poetry, this being his most well-known work.
