With numerous in-text illustrations by Grandville. Jean Ignace Isidore Gerard, 1803 – 1847, generally known by the pseudonym of J. J. Grandville, was a French caricaturist. CONDITION In a half calf binding. Externally, some shelfwear, with fading to the spine. The front joint of volume one is just starting. Internally, firmly bound, with marginal foxing and occasional marks.
