In fair condition, with rubbing to leather and boards. Wear to binding on head of outer spine (please reference last photograph). Hinges are in good condition with minor wear throughout. Ex-library from Yale University, with a bookplate on the front pastedown and small library markings at the front of the book. Text block is in good condition and securely attached. General age-related toning throughout, along with periodic foxing, including on the frontispiece and tissue guard. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. An interesting work in German by Michael Beer (1800-1833), a German-Jewish poet who came from an influential family known for their artistic and scientific advancements. The shipping was fast and the book was extremely well packaged. The book itself is exactly as pictured and although rare books are expected to be expensive, I was able to get a small discount that at least covered the shipping. I'm happy with my purchase, so I can say that it was a good value. I love to find old relics that kind of come full circle to find their home. Welcome home to this little gem in the form of a small book. I will take very good care of you! I highly recommend this seller.

Just picked up my package from Robin Rare Books and let me start by saying WOW!!! Book as advertised for sure. the value of the book certainly dictated some care in shipping but never did I think to this extent. The packaging was incredible. bigger box than needed at first thought but after opening based on the care and multiple layers of packing It would have survived a Tank rolling over it. Very grateful for you listing and working with me on the book, true piece of history I will cherish
